Plagiarism Policy – CIDiER
At CIDiER, we take academic integrity seriously. If an author is found to have committed plagiarism, the following measures may be taken:
- • The submission will be immediately rejected or removed from the final publication.
- • The violation will be reported to the author's supervisor(s) and their affiliated institution(s).
- • Relevant academic ethics bodies or research funding agencies will be informed of the misconduct.
- • CIDiER reserves the right to publicly disclose the author's name(s), the title of the work, institutional affiliation(s), and the nature of the infraction.
Refund and Cancellation Policy – CIDiER Congress
If a registered participant is unable to attend the event, they must delegate a co-author or colleague to present on their behalf. This change must be communicated in writing to both the organizing committee and the designated replacement via email in advance.
Cancellation Timeline:
- • Between 2 and 3 months before the event: 70% of the registration fee will be refunded.
- • Between 1 and 2 months before the event: 50% of the registration fee will be refunded.
- • Less than 1 month before the event: No refunds will be issued.
Personal Reasons
No refunds will be issued due to personal reasons. This includes, but is not limited to internet connectivity issues, technical problems with the participant's equipment, scheduling conflicts, work-related matters, health concerns, or any other personal circumstances that prevent participation.
Force Majeure
Refunds and compensation will not be granted in the event of force majeure. In the event of force majeure—such as widespread internet or electrical outages, cyberattacks, global health emergencies, or any other unforeseen circumstances beyond the organizers' control that prevent the conference from taking place as scheduled—the organizing committee reserves the right to reschedule affected sessions or provide alternative arrangements (e.g., recorded presentations or later live sessions).
Policy on the Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools in Manuscript Preparation
The use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar is permitted only for limited support tasks (e.g., language polishing or idea organization). However, the automatic generation of entire sections or full manuscripts by AI is strictly prohibited. Authors are fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, and integrity of their submissions. Any use of AI tools must be declared in the acknowledgments or a dedicated section of the manuscript. Failure to comply with this policy may result in rejection or retraction of the paper.
